Paid collaboration with Consntrade and NoseDat.
Your Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environment is live, but users still spend hours entering orders, checking supplier confirmations and matching invoices. Where should AI automation start, and how do you decide whether an additional solution is worth the cost?
In this D365 Insider Spotlight conversation, I speak with Khalil Bouzidi about FlowSparq, an ISV solution from Consntrade and NoseDat. We discuss the customer problem behind the product, its F&O and Azure architecture, and the pricing calculator shown in the video. This article explains those points and the questions I would bring to an evaluation.

Why was FlowSparq built?
Khalil describes a customer whose F&O implementation had stabilized, yet substantial manual work remained. Sales order entry, purchase order confirmations, invoice matching and check entry were recurring examples. The starting point was the workload, followed by a discussion about what technology could reduce it.
As the team developed the customer solution, it saw an opportunity to create a reusable framework. That led to a modular product intended for multiple customers rather than a single implementation. For a D365 team, the useful lesson is to identify a repeatable process and measure the effort before choosing an AI tool.

How does FlowSparq work with D365 F&O?
Khalil describes two main parts: an ISV component embedded in F&O and an AI layer hosted in Azure. The embedded component is intended to use F&O business logic and validation while keeping users in familiar forms and navigation. The AI layer supplies the intelligence used to process incoming information.
The official FlowSparq website describes a flow from receiving documents to extracting structured data, validating it against D365 data and rules, and processing a transaction. It also describes exceptions being visible within D365. These are vendor descriptions; the interview is an architecture and pricing discussion, not an end-to-end transaction test.
That distinction matters during a demo. Ask to see both a successful document and one with a missing item, incorrect quantity or price difference. Follow the result through validation, correction and the final D365 transaction. A familiar interface helps adoption, but the exception process determines how much work actually remains.
Which business processes are discussed?
The interview covers sales orders, purchase order confirmations, invoices and checks. Khalil also mentions different input formats for sales orders, including emails, PDFs and Excel files. He uses check entry in the US as an example of a repetitive task that can occupy several users.
FlowSparq is presented as modular by business process. This allows a discussion around one workload first, rather than requiring a broad automation project from day one. Confirm the available module, supported document types and exact transaction scope with the vendor for your environment.
For procurement teams, automation also needs to fit existing approval and change processes. See the D365 Insider guide to purchase order change management and approvals for related process context.
Can you use your own AI layer?
According to Khalil, customers are not required to adopt FlowSparq’s AI layer. The architecture can connect to an existing enterprise AI model or platform, subject to integration requirements. Customers starting without that capability can use the vendor-provided layer.
He describes vendor-managed customer instances and the possibility of deploying the AI layer in the customer’s own tenant. These options are relevant to ownership and data-processing requirements. They do not, by themselves, establish compliance or the exact deployment responsibilities.
Before selecting an option, agree who operates the layer, which data is transferred, where processing takes place, and who handles monitoring and model changes. Also establish the interface requirements and support boundary when bringing an existing AI platform.

How should you compare FlowSparq with Microsoft agents?
The interview raises a natural question: why consider an ISV when Microsoft is also developing agents? Khalil answers by explaining FlowSparq’s embedded experience, modular processes and choice of AI layer. The conversation does not provide a feature-by-feature benchmark against a named Microsoft agent.
The useful comparison is therefore a specific business scenario: the incoming documents, required D365 transaction, exceptions, user involvement and total operating cost. Avoid assuming that one solution is universally more accurate or that every Microsoft agent requires a separate user experience.
How does the FlowSparq pricing calculator work?
Use the current FlowSparq pricing calculator to explore your configuration and confirm the estimate with the vendor. Check the transaction definition, included volume, additional usage, implementation effort and ongoing support.
When does AI automation make business sense?
Khalil makes a useful point: a low monthly transaction volume may not justify an external solution, while several hundred transactions per day create a different discussion. His examples illustrate the importance of scale; they are not a universal break-even threshold.
Start with monthly volume and the time currently spent per transaction. Then measure how much time remains for review and exceptions in a pilot. Compare the resulting capacity gain with recurring licence and AI charges, implementation, maintenance and support.
My practical starting point would be one document process, a representative sample and clear acceptance criteria. Measure successful processing, exception rates and review time. This produces better evidence than an isolated demonstration of a perfect document.
